Equine America - Kentucky Joint Solution 1L
Liquid Joint Supplement.
Kentucky Liquid Joint Supplement contains key nutrients and ingredients to support joint health and mobility in horses and ponies during light to moderate work, as well as comfort and support to help prevent stiffness in older horses and ponies.
Wear and tear of the cartilage that covers the articular surfaces of joints is one of the most common causes of reduced mobility in horses and ponies. It is commonly seen in older horses, but can affect those with lighter work as well as those with a heavy training and competition schedule.
Cartilage does not have its own blood supply and depends on the underlying bone and the synovial or joint fluid that bathes the joint to provide nutrients and important compounds to maintain health and shock absorbing properties. As the horse ages or the daily impact of training and competition increases, the ability of the underlying bone and synovial fluid to supply these nutrients may not be sufficient to maintain health, resulting in stiffness and reduced mobility.
It then becomes important that the horse is fed these important nutrients to ensure that the cartilage and synovial fluid maintain their elasticity and shock absorbing properties to support the health, comfort and mobility of the joints.
