Bitless

Riding bitless means working with pressure on the nose instead of a bit in the mouth. Here you will find our sidepulls, cross-under bitless bridles and hackamores, along with the purpose-made bitless bridles you need to use them.

Worth knowing up front: bitless is not automatically gentler. A sidepull acts mildly and directly, but a mechanical hackamore has shanks and can act with considerable force. Below we explain the difference, which bridle goes with which set-up, and what is permitted in competition.
