Eggbutt

On an eggbutt snaffle the rings are fixed to the mouthpiece. The bit therefore sits still in the mouth and does not shift with every small movement of your hand. Calm and predictability are the starting point here — for your horse and for you.

Below you will find when a horse benefits from a still bit, how to recognise it, and how the eggbutt differs from the loose ring and the D-ring snaffle.
