How does an airbag vest work?

Horse riding is a wonderful sport but comes with risks. That is why more and more riders, from beginners to professionals, choose extra protection with an airbag vest. The Equiline Airbag Vest offers advanced protection during a fall without limiting comfort or freedom of movement.

The system works with a cord attached to the airbag vest that you connect to the saddle strap on your saddle. In the event of a fall, tension on this cord activates the CO2 cartridge. The vest inflates within milliseconds, protecting the most vulnerable parts of your body just before impact.

How to replace the cartridge in an airbag vest?

After activation, you do not need to buy a new vest. Simply replace the CO2 cartridge, and your vest is ready for use again. We offer different cartridge sizes:

• 60CC for sizes XXS to L
• 85CC for sizes XL to XXXL

Important: Always use CO2 cartridges from the same brand as your airbag vest. This is crucial for your safety and the durability of the vest.

What size airbag vest do you need?

The vest is available in multiple sizes, from 2XS to 3XL, so you will always find the right fit. Note that size XXS is suitable for a minimum height of 145 cm and a minimum weight of 35 kg.

Can the airbag vest be used with multiple saddles?

If you have multiple saddles, it is convenient to buy extra saddle straps. By equipping each saddle with its own strap, you can easily switch saddles without having to move the cord each time. This keeps everything secure and easy to use.

How do you clean the airbag vest?

Proper maintenance is essential to keep your airbag vest safe and functional. The vest cannot be machine washed, dry cleaned, or submerged in water.

Simply wipe the vest with a damp cloth. For stubborn stains, you can use Hey Airbag Cleaner:

1. Apply the cleaner to the stained areas
2. Let it sit briefly
3. Wipe clean with a dry cloth
4. Allow the vest to dry completely before use

Repeat if necessary and test the cleaner on a hidden part of the fabric first. Avoid high temperatures, tumble drying, and ironing. Hang the vest on a hanger and store it in a dry place.
