How does the Seaver Airbag Vest work?

In the event of a fall, the airbag vest activates instantly, before impact, protecting vital parts of the body such as the neck, thorax, back, rib cage, lower back, pelvis and sacrum. The vest connects to the saddle with a saddle strap. When tension is applied to the saddle strap during a fall, the CO₂ cartridge triggers and inflates the vest within milliseconds. This absorbs shocks and helps reduce injury.

The vest is lightweight, weighing less than 600 grams and made from stretchy, micro-perforated material that provides excellent ventilation. This makes it comfortable to wear both in summer and winter. You have full freedom of movement and will hardly notice you’re wearing it. Plus, it does not add any extra bulk to your outfit.

Compatible with SAFERIDE

The Seaver Airbag Vest works with SAFERIDE, a feature in the Seaver app. When activated on your smartphone, it automatically notifies family or friends if you fall and allows them to locate you via GPS to provide assistance.

With your purchase, you receive a free one-year SAFERIDE subscription, including an activation code for the mobile app.

Choosing the right size

The vest is available in various sizes, including a longer model for riders with a longer torso. Please consult the size chart, available in centimeters and inches, to find your perfect fit.

Replacing the CO₂ cartridge

After activation, there is no need to buy a new vest. Simply replace the CO₂ cartridge using the included Allen key. Cartridges are available separately.

• The 33g cartridge fits sizes S through XL.

Can the Airbag Vest be used with multiple saddles?

Do you use multiple saddles? Extra saddle straps are sold separately. An airbag vest must always be used in combination with a saddle strap. By attaching one to each saddle, you eliminate the need to switch the strap every time. The strap stays in place, allowing you to easily switch between saddles without extra effort.

How to clean and maintain the Airbag Vest?

Proper maintenance is essential to ensure the vest remains safe and functional.
Do not machine wash, dry clean, or submerge the vest in water. Instead, gently clean it with a damp cloth. For more thorough cleaning, use Hey Airbag Cleaner.

Spray the cleaner on the areas that need cleaning and leave it for a moment to let the product do its job. Then, wipe the vest with a dry, soft cloth and allow it to air dry completely before using it again. For tough stains, repeat the process as needed. Always test the cleaner on an inconspicuous area first to ensure colorfastness and fabric quality.

Do not tumble dry, iron, or expose the vest to high temperatures. Avoid folding or rolling the vest for extended periods. Instead, hang it on a hanger and store it in a dry, moisture-free place.

Additional information
