Do you live in Overijssel, the Salland region or somewhere near Lemelerveld? There's a good chance you haven't heard of Ridershouse yet — and that's exactly why we're writing this blog.

Who are we?

Ridershouse is a specialist equestrian store located at Parallelweg 20L in Lemelerveld (8152 BE), right on the N48 between Raalte and Ommen. Since 2007 we have been the equestrian specialist of the Salland region — right in the heart of Overijssel, in an area full of horses, riders and pony club enthusiasts.

We are not a large webshop that sends you a parcel and nothing more. We are a physical store where you walk in, feel, try on and test. But would you prefer to browse our range online first? You can do so via our webshop at www.ridershouse.nl.

Personal contact is at the heart of everything we do. We love thinking along with you, listening to what you need and finding the best solution together — whether you are looking for a competition jacket, a new bridle or simply a tin of saddle soap.

What makes Ridershouse different?

Try before you buy

At Ridershouse you can try products before purchasing. We have test stirrups you can try on, pads to compare what fits best with your horse and saddle, and bits you can take home for a trial period. That way you can be sure you are making the right choice — for yourself and for your horse.

Knowledge that truly helps

We have a great deal of in-house expertise. And if we don't know the answer, we simply ask the supplier. Looking for a product we don't stock? We'll look into it for you. Is a size no longer available? We'll find out whether it can be produced again or whether it's still available from the manufacturer. We don't give up easily.

For the competition rider in Overijssel

Are you active in show jumping or dressage and want to look sharp in the arena? Then Ridershouse is the place for you. We have over 500 competition jackets in stock — and we know better than anyone that a jacket only truly fits when the cut is right.

That's why we work with three different sizing systems:

• Italian sizes (slim fit) — a close, sporty cut, ideal if you prefer a sleeker silhouette.
• Length sizes — specially designed for the taller rider, ensuring the sleeves and body of the jacket are the right length.
• German sizes — these fit a little more generously than Italian sizes and come in a wider size range, going up to size 96 in length sizes, so there is a fitting option for everyone.

Personalisation? Absolutely!

Want something truly unique? At Ridershouse you can have your own exercise sheet, hat cover, rug, cap or competition jacket personalised — with or without rhinestones, in your own colours. For the rider who wants to stand out for all the right reasons.

Bridles with anatomical fit

We have an extensive collection of bridles for both dressage and show jumping, with special attention to anatomical fit — because a well-fitted bridle makes a world of difference to your horse's comfort and performance.

For dressage, you can choose from bridles with a combination noseband or crank noseband, with white or black padding, patent leather or rhinestone details, in various widths and in black or brown. For show jumping we carry Mexican nosebands, low-profile bridles and hackamore designs.

Does your horse have a difficult head shape? No problem. We can put together a bridle made to measure by ordering individual parts in different sizes. A perfect anatomical fit — comfortable for your horse and beautiful in the arena.

Safety for rider and horse

We take safety seriously. We stock air vests and safety hats from several brands, for children and adults alike. Not sure whether a stirrup feels right? Try it in the store. We'll help you make the right choice.

Ridershouse at events across the Netherlands and Europe

We're not only found in Lemelerveld. Each year we attend around 15 events, including major names such as Jumping Amsterdam, Indoor Brabant (The Dutch Masters), Stephex Masters in Brussels and the World Championship Young Horses in Lanaken Zangersheide. We also attend local competitions in the region.
